Forestry Mulching & Land Clearing in Blount County, TN

Blount County runs from flat river-bottom farmland along the Tennessee River at Louisville and Friendsville all the way up into the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains at Walland and Townsend. That means two very different kinds of work in one county. Down near Maryville, Alcoa, and Rockford we're usually reclaiming pasture, clearing fence lines, and prepping home sites on gentle ground. Up against Chilhowee Mountain and the park boundary, steep slopes and tight access require careful route planning, with the mulcher working straight up and down the grade.

The foothills side is underlain by older Chilhowee sandstone and quartzite, so you hit rock shallow and often; the valley side runs deeper limestone-derived loam that grades beautifully. The Little River and its feeder branches cut through a lot of Blount tracts, and anything near those channels gets a buffer left standing to hold the bank.
