Forestry Mulching & Land Clearing in Anderson County, TN

Anderson County straddles two different worlds. The southern end around Oak Ridge and Clinton is valley-and-ridge ground with the same long limestone and shale ridges we work in Knox County. North and west of Norris, the land pitches up into the Cumberland front — Windrock, Cross Mountain, and the coal-country hollows above Rocky Top and Briceville — where slopes get serious and access is the hardest part of the job. Norris Lake's coves cut deep into the middle of the county, so lake-lot clearing and steep gravel access drives are constant work here.

Ridge tops in the Oak Ridge area carry thin, shaly Montevallo-type soils with rock close to the surface, while the hollows hold deeper, wetter colluvium that needs drainage attention before anything else. Old mine benches and haul roads in the northern hollows are common on larger tracts — they make useful access once we re-cut and drain them, and they tell us a lot about how water moves through a property. Regrowth here is heavy on tulip poplar, sumac, and greenbrier, which the mulcher takes in one pass.

Hands down phenomenal experience. These gentlemen are top notch professionals and pay attention to detail. I manage several forested lots and build in an environmentally friendly manner and I needed a crew that understood that importance.

These guys did a great job and I had a variety of challenges on my property. They have brand new equipment and Bob, the operator, is as skilled as they come. I'm sure I'll have them back!
